So we traveled to Florida in March 2010 to give workshops and perform for the Florida Harpers and Friends, Harp Festival. Well, on the way back to Ohio we stopped in Nashville to start recording our 3rd CD. We are recording at H2 Productions - Olive Bar Studio. Brett Hardin has graciously agreed to pull double duty on this project as both our Producer and Recording Engineer. Oh, and if that isn't enough, Brett's beautiful and talented wife Marney McCague Hardin will also be adding some of her absolutely fantasic Irish flute and whistles to the project (and if Denise and I play our cards right, maybe even some Bodhran too - WooHoo!!!). We have 3 tracks recorded and we are looking forward to going back soon to record our next several tracks : )
Have you ever wanted to play the harp but thought that it would just be to expensive? Well, look no further as Denise and Mike have a solution for you! They have put together a harp rental program that makes learning the harp fun, easy and inexpensive. Denise and Mike have come up with a harp rental program where you can rent a harp for either 6 or 12 months at a time. Two lessons per month come with each rental (to be scheduled at mutually agreeable times with Denise) and if you are really jazzed about it you can schedule more lessons for an additional fee. Make sure to give us call for details
Mike and Denise are pleased to announce that the third annual Harp Gathering, harp festival at the Sauder Village, Heritage Inn is gearing up for what's sure to be a fantastic weekend of workshops, performances, and an even larger exhiblt hall with some absolutely awsome exhibitors. 2010's faculty include Pamela Bruner, Timothy Harper, Frank Voltz, Tapestry (Denise and Michael Grupp-Verbon), and Special Guest Performer/Instructor, Sue Richards. Dates for The Harp Gathering 2010 are May 14-16, so be sure to check your schedule and as always, we look forward to seeing you at The Harp Gathering!
